Katie & Maeves Wedding

Our story began in college, when a mutual friend introduced us and we quickly became close friends. For two years, we navigated college, friendship, and all the chaos that came with it. Somewhere along the way, our friendship started to become something more—helped along, perhaps, by our shared tradition of hunkering down with sushi around organic chemistry exams.

 
Maeve says they first knew they were in love with me during the after-hours of a party, when we escaped upstairs together to get away from the noise and bustle. Once we were safely away from the crowd, I naturally began enthusiastically rambling about one of my greatest passions: epidemiology—specifically prions and Ebola. Apparently, nothing says “the love of my life” quite like escaping a party together only to spend the next hour discussing infectious disease..

Since then, our little adventuring party has grown to include three beautiful cats,  each impossibly different from the others and each completely adored. Together, we’ve built a life filled with friendship, laughter, countless stories, and more than a little bit of magic. Between our love of fantasy, Magic: The Gathering, Dungeons & Dragons, World of Warcraft, and all things wonderfully fictional, it feels only fitting that our next great adventure should be a little bit enchanted.

We are so incredibly excited to celebrate this next chapter with the people we love most. Thank you for joining us as we gather to celebrate our love, our life together, and the beginning of our greatest adventure yet. We cannot wait to share a little bit of our magic with you.
